As the need to electrify intensifies, how does the automotive industry feel about the development and production of battery-electric vehicles (BEVs)? Autovista24 editor Phil Curry attended the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) Test Day, a UK event bringing together journalists and automotive executives.
The Mustang Mach-E is the first Ford volume BEV with enough range to transfer away from range anxiety and into charging anxiety, which is the next area that we need to see addressed. It is really worrying consumers, and 20% are taking no interest in electrification at all.
