Vehicle manufacturers are facing a number of challenges from various different factors over the next few years, with governments keen to make their mark on the automotive industry.

Additionally, with new sales trends and threats of new technologies that will require more finances to be put in, the market is having to adapt. There have already been a number of consequences – General Motors has pulled out of Europe with the sale of Opel and Vauxhall, while the Dieselgate scandal has tainted the fuel and caused some carmakers to issue recalls.
